Environment Art created for Board Gamelandia on the Meta Horizon Worlds platform!

I had an amazing opportunity to work with an excellent team for creating a translation of board games into a virtual reality environment!

The challenge here was create visually rich environments while keeping costs low. Techniques such as color vertices, trim sheets, and an LOD Modular system were used to create a massive array of building blocks establish the scale and perspective of the player to fit our theme, playing as a board game piece size, for Board Gamelandia. In particular one challenge was capturing the details of every day objects at a larger scale. The idea is the player is the size of a board game piece.

Board Gamelandia is Developed by Nerd Ninjas in partnership with The Op for the Horizon Worlds Platform by Meta. ‘Tapple’ and ‘Hues and Cues’ are created and owned by The Op.

As a team member, I was responsible for the 3D Environment assets shown here. Other objects not highlighted but appear in the background such as the Rocket Ship, UFO, Computer Monitors, or Art Supplies are done by Cara Jones and Justin Kupka. Art Direction by Cara Jones.
