Once upon a time this was a smart material that could also be water logged. This is an example of that.
This was a difficult item to set up that feels quite nice on the final - alpha alignments on different sides
Introducing the BOXFORT - Trim Sheet Cardboard Generator!
With this, create infinite types of cardboard patterns and construct your cardboard castles to your heart's content!
This was initially created as a device to assist with documentation of physical items we own in boxes as we moved across the country in 2022. It has grown to be used in a couple random illustration projects as a smart material, eventually growing into a trim sheet to be used anywhere.
The Trim Sheet parameters come with with a number of options to colorize the board itself, change its textures, weathering state, patterns of print, the company name that appears. Some elements are chained together such as the packaging label is dependent on the name and the symbols that appear on the sides. There are customization options as well to further make unique cardboard!
The texture is 100% created inside Substance Designer, rendered in Marmoset Toolbag for most everything, except for the few instances of Substance Painter. The Dodecahedron, Film Camera, Warehouse, and Mimic are all part of different projects but help show this asset off.
